Organizing the Ceramic Studio...

For 2 years I have been collecting objets, "everything that can be useful" and I never discarded anything away before having examined the object from all angles ...It ends up with plenty of boxes filled with an unclassifiable mess ... But "useful"!!! We will now verify this principle!

The studio is divided into zones, dedicated to different tasks: the wheel, of course, but also the slab roller machine, near the large worktable. An area dedicated to drawing and painting on porcelain, with a beautiful view of the garden, roses and wisteria. And lots of storage, for clays, moulds, colors, glazes ...

Good, but all this is not exempt from coquetry, finally, of decoration. Small finds often found on the" Bon Coin" (second hand, famous french site) to bring a little poetry to a somewhat utilitarian decoration ... for example, vintage glass globes from a vegetable garden, or printers' drawers recovered a few years ago in a printing house, will store and protect raw and fragile projects...

Authentic wooden test-tube holders from an old lab, to support tools and brushes on the worktable and an Empire Perio servant in norci pear wood to carry bottles of oily medium and turpentine...

And the pretty breezes, handmade, crocheted, by Martine ...

The colors are ready ... pigments, underglazes, 3rd fire color range: big inventory ! I ordered missing numbers. And all the brushes are cleaned and smell good with citrus essence ... *

Next trip to Paris: bring back the white porcelain to paint!
